This Privacy Policy explains how Onion & Garlic ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application, DreamSketch (the "App").

1. Data Controller

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways to provide and improve our services:

a) Information You Provide to Us

• Account Information: When you create an account using Google Sign-In, we collect your name, email address, and Google profile picture. This is used to set up and personalize your account.
• Dream Entries: We collect the content of the dreams you submit for interpretation. This data is processed by an AI to provide you with an analysis. Both the dream and its interpretation are stored in our database to be accessible to you within the App.
• Journal Notes: We store the notes you create in the "Journal" feature. This data is saved to our database to allow you to access your notes across sessions and is also cached on your device for offline access.

b) Information We Do Not Collect

We take a privacy-focused approach. We do not automatically collect technical data such as your precise location, device ID, advertising ID, IP address, or usage analytics for marketing or tracking purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used for the following specific purposes:

• To Provide Core Services: To authenticate your account, deliver AI-powered dream interpretations, and maintain your personal journal.
• To Improve Our Service: We may use anonymized dream data to train and enhance our AI models to provide more accurate interpretations over time.
• To Communicate With You: We may use your email address to send you important service-related notices or to respond to your support requests. We plan to use Firebase for push notifications in the future for service announcements.
• To Ensure Security: To protect our services from fraud and abuse and to comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your data. Your information is shared only with trusted service providers who are essential for us to operate the App:

• Google (for Authentication): We use Google Firebase to handle secure user sign-in. Your authentication process is managed by Google.
• AI Service Providers: The text of your dreams is sent to a third-party AI provider solely for the purpose of generating an interpretation. These providers are contractually bound to keep your data confidential.
• Cloud & Database Hosting: Your data (dreams, notes, account info) is stored securely on encrypted databases managed by industry-standard cloud providers.

5. Data Security

We are committed to protecting your data. We implement industry-standard security measures, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit and encryption-at-rest for data stored in our databases. Access to data is strictly controlled and protected by firewalls.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as your account is active. You have the right to delete your account at any time directly within the App. Upon deletion, all of your personal data, including your dreams and notes, will be permanently and irreversibly erased from our production systems.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently gathered such information, we will take immediate steps to delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
